The purpose of this charter is to clearly inform Valeureux users (“Users”, “you” and “your”) about the use of their personal data. This personal data only concerns users who are natural persons (contact details, identity).

This charter also aims to define the rights of users concerning this data, as well as the potential recipients of this data.

We invite you to read this document carefully

Personal data management by Valeureux

Valeureux, stores and uses your personal data when you use the www.valeureux.com Website

Personal data will then be permanently deleted from our databases. The personal data collected can be viewed, modified or deleted by you yourself at any time at your request.

IV. Recipients of your personal data

Your personal data is intended to be used only by Valeureux employees.

V. Data Security and Confidentiality

Valeureux has taken all technical and organizational measures necessary to protect the confidentiality and security of personal data collected from you, in order to avoid damage, modification, destruction or unauthorized access by third parties. We remind you that Valeureux does not control all the risks associated with the operation of the Internet and draw your attention to the existence of possible risks inherent to its use and operation.

Audience measurement

This Site measures its audience with Matomo, a piece of software installed on our own servers. Visit statistics are passed to no third party and do not leave the European Union.

This measurement works without cookies and without any identifier that would recognise you from one visit to the next. Your IP address is truncated before anything is recorded. Configured this way, it is exempt from prior consent, which is why it is not among the choices offered in the cookie banner.

You may still opt out by turning on your browser’s Do Not Track signal, which Matomo honours.

Two tools are loaded only with your consent. The banner lets you accept them both or reject them both. Until you accept, they are not loaded and set no cookies.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics, provided by Google Ireland Limited, complements the measurement carried out by Matomo by giving us more detailed insight into how the Site is used. It sets and reads cookies, and sends browsing data to Google, including the pages you view, your device, your browser and your approximate location. We have configured it with no advertising use whatsoever.

This data may be processed outside the European Union, notably in the United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Google processes it under its own privacy policy.

LinkedIn Insight

The LinkedIn Insight Tag, provided by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, lets us measure how our LinkedIn campaigns perform and show our content, on LinkedIn, to people who have visited the Site. It sets and reads cookies, and sends browsing data to LinkedIn, including your IP address, your browser’s characteristics and the pages you view.

LinkedIn gives us no data that could identify you: we only receive aggregated statistics. LinkedIn processes this data under its own cookie policy.

Your choices

A technical cookie remembers your choice for six months, after which you are asked again. You can change it or withdraw your consent at any time through the “Cookie choices” link at the bottom of every page.

To be able to prove that your consent was validly obtained, we keep a record of each choice in Matomo, on our own servers: its date, the choice made, the banner version and a random identifier, which is also stored in your browser’s cookie. This record contains neither your name nor your full IP address.

Your rights

We guarantee you the exercise of your rights in accordance with the legislation in force relating to the protection of personal data. You can thus exercise the following rights at your convenience:

If you are not satisfied with the way in which Valeureux collects and processes your personal data, you can file a complaint against Valeureux with the CNIL by visiting https://www.cnil.fr/ or by writing to the following address: 3 Place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, TSA 80715, 75334 PARIS CEDEX 07, France.
